Cryptocurrency क्या है?
Banks के बिना चलने वाली digital money का simple introduction।
Cryptocurrency एक तरह की digital money है जो किसी bank, government या company के control के बिना काम करती है। पारंपरिक currency जैसे rupee या dollar में कोई central authority होती है — RBI या Federal Reserve — जो currency print करती है, transactions verify करती है, और rules बनाती है। Cryptocurrency में ऐसी कोई central authority नहीं है। इसके बजाय हजारों computers का एक network मिलकर transactions verify करता है और एक shared database (जिसे blockchain कहते हैं) में record रखता है।

हर transaction central bank से होती है। Bank fail = सब fail।
Crypto / Blockchain
सब peers एक-दूसरे से जुड़े हैं
कोई central authority नहीं। एक node fail = network चलता रहता है।
सबसे famous cryptocurrency है Bitcoin (BTC), जो 2009 में launch हुई। उसके बाद से हजारों cryptocurrencies बनी हैं — Ethereum, Solana, Cardano, Dogecoin जैसी। आज दुनिया भर में करीब 50 करोड़ लोग crypto use करते हैं, और India में अकेले 15 करोड़ users हैं।
लेकिन crypto असल में करती क्या है? तीन main use cases हैं:
- Store of value — Bitcoin को कुछ लोग "digital gold" मानते हैं क्योंकि इसकी supply limited है (कभी भी 21 million से ज्यादा BTC नहीं बनेंगे)
- Payments — आप globally बिना bank के पैसा भेज सकते हैं — किसी को भी, कभी भी, कुछ ही minutes में
- Programmable money — Ethereum जैसी platforms पर smart contracts run होते हैं जो automatic financial agreements execute करते हैं।
India में 2022 से crypto को Virtual Digital Asset (VDA) के रूप में recognize किया गया है। Tax law clear है: profits पर 30% + 4% cess (effective 31.2%), हर sale पर 1% TDS। Trading legal है, पर regulation evolving है।
Crypto में जो most important बात समझनी है: यह सिर्फ "fast money" नहीं — यह एक new financial system है। लेकिन साथ ही extreme volatility है (90% drawdowns possible), scams भरे हैं, और technical mistakes (खोई हुई private keys) से funds permanently lose हो सकते हैं। इसलिए हमेशा शुरुआत small amounts से करें, सिर्फ FIU-registered Indian exchanges use करें, और सीखते रहें।
