🛡 सबसे बड़ी defence
सिर्फ FIU-IND registered exchanges। "Guaranteed returns" = exit signal।
1. Fake Exchange / Investment App Scams। Most common। आपको WhatsApp/Telegram पर message आता है: "हमारा exclusive crypto trading app daily 5% returns guarantee करता है।" App download करते हैं, KYC complete करते हैं, ₹50K invest करते हैं। App में profits बढ़ते दिखते हैं — आप excited होकर और invest करते हैं। फिर एक दिन: withdrawal request stuck हो जाती है, "tax pay करो withdraw करने के लिए" demand आती है, support disappear हो जाती है। यह ponzi scheme है — fake numbers दिखाए जा रहे थे। India में 2024 में अकेले ₹2,000+ crore इस pattern में खो गए। Defence: सिर्फ FIU-IND registered exchanges use करें (CoinDCX, WazirX, ZebPay, Binance India), "guaranteed returns" वाले apps से दूर रहें।
2. Recovery / "Get Your Money Back" Scams। अगर आप पहले से किसी scam का शिकार हो चुके हैं, scammers जानते हैं — आपका data dark web पर sold होता है। आपको call आती है: "हम cyber crime unit से हैं, आपके खोए हुए funds recover कर सकते हैं — सिर्फ ₹25,000 processing fee दीजिए।" आप desperate होकर pay करते हैं। फिर वो लोग भी disappear। India में victims दो बार scammed होते हैं — पहले original scam में, फिर recovery scam में।
3. Romance / "Pig Butchering" Scams। Long-form scam: scammer dating app या Instagram पर आपसे मिलता है, weeks-months तक relationship बनाता है, फिर slowly crypto investment की बात लाता है। "मेरे cousin ने इस platform से ₹50 lakh बनाए — मैं तुम्हें भी सिखा सकता हूँ।" आप trust में आकर ₹2-5 lakh लगाते हैं। Funds gone। Indian victims unfortunately सबसे ज्यादा affected इसमें हैं — 2024 में ₹3,000+ crore loss।
4. Telegram/WhatsApp Pump Groups। "Crypto VIP signals" group जो claim करते हैं कि वो advance में जानते हैं कौनसा coin pump होगा। Reality: insiders pre-buy करते हैं, फिर group में "buy now" signal भेजते हैं, retail buy करता है price बढ़ती है, insiders sell करते हैं profit लेकर, retail bagholders रह जाते हैं। 99% pump groups scam हैं।
5. Fake Wallet Apps। Play Store पर "Trust Wallet", "MetaMask", "Ledger Live" के fake clones हैं। आप install करते हैं, seed phrase enter करते हैं, और funds instantly drain हो जाते हैं। Always verify: official website से ही wallet download करें, Play Store पर developer name double-check करें।
Common red flags across all scams:
- Guaranteed/high returns promise
- Urgency ("limited time offer")
- Initial small profits to build trust (test the platform)
- Withdrawal blocks जब amount बड़ा हो जाए
- Pressure to recruit others
- Lack of FIU/regulatory registration
- Anonymous founders / no team page
- Telegram/WhatsApp-only support।
If you fall victim:
- Stop sending money immediately — don't pay "recovery fees"
- Report to cybercrime.gov.in (National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal)
- Visit nearest cyber police station with all evidence (chats, transaction IDs, payment receipts)
- Contact your bank — sometimes funds can be frozen if reported within 24-48 hours
- Don't engage with "recovery experts" — they're the same scammers
